Any bus driver and taxi driver pound driving under the influence of liquor will face the full brunt of the law and will either have their license suspended or even taken away.
That is the word from the Land Transport Authority (LTA)as they say that people's lives are in the drivers hands.
Following the arrest of 5 bus drivers on New Year's Day, LTA Spokesperson Ratu Eroni Volavola said what PSV drivers need to realize is that they are always on call to service the public and this means zero tolerance on alcohol.
Volavola added that as the Licensing body of the land, LTA will in turn slap on additional sentences to set examples to other drivers.
The 5 drivers were arrested on New Year's Day at Lami when they appeared in Court, fined and had their licenses suspended.
