As part of its Hare Krishna Food Relief Programme, the Hare Krishna Lautoka Temple will be distributing cooked food to the people in evacuation centres in Nadi, Lautoka and Ba.
Coordinator Dr Rajesh Maharaj told Fijivillage that he spoke to a woman from Ba and was informed that they have been relying on cassava adding that they are targeting areas where the access has been cut off.
Meanwhile, he has also urged people to come forward to make some donations either in cash or in kind.
