It’s over a month and still Hardware companies around the country are facing a shortage of cement.
The companies are turning away their customers as they do not have a single bag.
Vinod Patel, Suva branch manager, Umesh Prasad said some customers are getting frustrated, as many construction jobs have been put on hold as there is no supply, which has resulted in their sales to drop.
The Fiji Industries, Acting Sales Manager, Anish Singh confirmed milling continued over the weekend, and Silos were filled to supply to hardware companies tomorrow.
Singh has assured that supply of cement around the country will normalise from tomorrow.
