The hard soccer pitch is the only concern at Subrail Park as we countdown to the first round of Inkk Mobile Battle of the Giants tournament on Sunday.

It has hardly rained in Labasa for a month.

Fiji Football Association Vice President, Dewan Chand said the Labasa town council is working around the clock to ensure the conditions are perfect when the top eight teams take the field.

He added repair works on the players and referees change rooms along with other repair works on the stands has cost the council more than $15,000.

Chand also confirmed that three bus companies will be providing normal bus services in the remote areas of Labasa on Sunday to ensure that die hard soccer fans reach Subrail Park before the action starts.

The first match is at 9am between Suva and Nadi and you can catch the live commentary on our sister station, Radio Sargam.
