A Handyman has been sentenced to 12 months in jail after he pleaded guilty to a charge of larceny by servant.

On March 13th this year, the court heard that Aca Tagilala failed to bank a cheque to the total value of 5 thousand 565 dollars, after being told to do so by the 79yr old Capricorn Hotel owner.

After three weeks since running away with the cheque, Tadulala returned the cheque and surrendered himself to Police.

Tadulala said he just wanted to teach his boss a lesson.

Magistrate Aminiais Katounivualiku then sentenced him to 1 year behind bars.
