Auckland winger Joe Rokocoko is expected to be out again for a few weeks after a hamstring injury forced him out in the 25-20 win over Bay of Plenty.

Rokocoko has been facing a lot of difficulties in trying to get back to form in his wing position for Auckland after missing out on the All Blacks team in the Tri-Nations series after undergoing a surgery to his wrist.

Auckland Coach Shane Howarth will now be looking at drafting in Isaia Toeva from the All Blacks squad to provide cover for Rokocoko in the back-line.

This week Auckland will defend the Ranfurly Shield against Wellington at Eden Park, but it will not have the services of All Blacks trio Jerome Kaino, Kevin Mealamu and John Afoa who are taking the "mandatory" two week break.
