Good news for 5,000 families as the Housing Authority intends to provide houses for them for the next 3 to 5 years.
Chairman of the Housing Authority and Public Rental Board, Colonel Samuela Saumatua said they will be resuming their core function of developing land and also building homes.
Meanwhile, the house construction phase would comprise of single and multi-storey, one to 3 bedroom units to commence next year at the 3 sites including Tacirua East Stage 2, Nepani and Wainibuku.
Meanwhile, the construction of 250 units will commence this year at its Raiwai site.
PRB Chief Executive, Mesake Senibulu said the demolition works have been completed and their development will be undertaken by a Chinese Contractor.
