The Hong Kong 7s tournament has 24 teams competing in the 3 day tournament and offers the first prize money of US$100,000 to the winner.
Also top 6 teams from the 6 pools will qualify to the Cup quarter finals, while 2 other teams to make the last eight will come as the best runner-ups, which will be decided after all the pool games.
Roko said the players must have determination to win the tournament.
The point’s format of the Hong Kong 7s tournament has also been changed this year.
The Cup winner will earn 30 points while runner-up will get 25 points and the two losing semifinalists will get 20 points each.
The Hong Kong 7s tournament starts on Friday at 9:30pm with the opening match between favorites Samoa and Italy.
Fiji’s opening match will be against Thailand on Friday at 10:14pm.
