The military has confirmed that the gun which was found in the possession of a 16 year old student at the Champagnat Institute in Vatuwaqa belongs to a security officer who is currently in Iraq.
Spokesperson Major Neumi Leweni also confirmed after initial checks, they were able to confirm that the gun is not a military gun and so investigations have been given back to police to carry out.
