The Australian Women's Under 19 Basketball team has sent a clear message to the rest of the teams competing in the 2014 FIBA Oceania Under 19 Championship after thrashing American Samoa 113-8.

Alanna Smith and Montanna Farrah Seaton both scored 18 points each to top the scores in the game.

In other women's results, Guam defeated Papua New Guinea 90 46 with PNG putting up a good fight despite playing with only five players due to the late arrival of team members.

In the Men's results, Guam thrashed Solomon Islands 88-13 while New Zealand defeated Tahiti 126-13.

Meanwhile the Fiji women's team is playing Samoa this hour while the men's team will play American Samoa at 7 tonight.
