A group of villagers from Keiyasi are under police investigation for allegedly assaulting a 28yr old farmer resulting in his death.
Assistant Spokesperson, Sergeant Atunaisa Sokomuri has confirmed that the deceased who was involved in a brawl in Keiyasi with a group of villagers sustained serious head injuries and was rushed to the CWM hospital where he passed away over the weekend.
A post mortem conducted revealed that the farmer died of brain hemorrhage.
The villagers are expected to be charged soon.
