Police have given the green light to the SDL Party to hold their Annual General Meeting at the Fijian Teachers Association Hall in Suva this afternoon.
However, SDL's National Director, Peceli Kinivuwai said the permit has been granted based on the condition that police officers will be monitoring the meeting.
Kinivuwai confirmed that the items on the agenda include the election of the new party President and adoption of some amendments to the SDL constitution.
He stressed that there will be no discussions on the Interim Prime Minister's comments that there will be no elections if politicians do not support the People's Charter.
The SDL Annual General Meeting starts at 2pm.
