A belated Mother's Day gift is what 19 year old Sami Emanual gave his grand-mum when he picked for her the winning Fiji Only Lucky Tagimoucia Scratch Ticket in Nadi.

Emanual, who lives with his unemployed grandparents in a rural district outside Nadi Town, said they were surprised, felt good and excited when the winning ticket showed three thirty-thousand dollar signs appear when they scratched it.

He said the $30,000 will help rebuild their home which was destroyed in the January floods adding they can now buy livestock to replace the stock that drowned during the floods.

He said he chose the ticket for his grand-mum because it was colorful and beautiful.
