As the 2012 Coca-Cola Games gets ready to commence at the National Stadium next Friday, a former Grammar student, Natalie Raikadroka, has composed a new anthem for the Grammarians in time for the games.
Raikadroka said the song is called “The Lions Roar”.
Meanwhile, cheering supporters of schools around the country are now getting ready for the games with flags, banners and t-shirts.
Suva Grammar School is the defending champion in the boys division while Adi Cakobau School is the defending champion in the girls division.
Both schools are expected to face stiff competition from schools around the country as this year, as in past years, the medals are expected to scatter and go to athletes based outside Suva and the urban areas.
