As the attention may turn to Suva Grammar School’s star athletes like Francis Kirikirikula, Kemueli Waqa and Jacob Waqanivalu, another athlete is expected to turn heads in this years Coca Cola Games for the Lions.
Suva Grammar youngster Neumi Komaitai is aiming for his first medal at this years meet.
Komaitai who won gold in the Zone two competition in the Junior boys 1500 metres with a manual time of 5 minutes 24.25 seconds said he is ready.
Komaitai added that he is honored to be in the same school with the reigning Junior boys 1500 metres champion Varasiko Mualevu who will be running in the Intermediate boys 1500 metres this year.
Meanwhile, the games torch is on its way to Labasa Muslim College.
The Coca Cola Games will be held on the 16th and 17th of next month.
