It will be a tough tussle in the 100 metres finals at the Suva Zone 2 athletics meet as the defending boys champions, Suva Grammar School are facing stiff competition in the heats.
Making his first appearance in the 100 metres heats, Marist Brothers sprinter Banuve Tabakaucoro clocked a time of 10.84 seconds while Suva Grammar's Mataiasi Savou clocked a time of 11sec.

In the Girls Division, Lomary Secondary lead with 2 gold medals from the 100 metres final in the sub junior and intermediate girls, while Waidina Secondary is in second place with 1 Gold, 2 Silver and 1 Bronze and Suva Grammar in third place with 1 Gold and 1 bronze.
In the Boys division, Marist Brothers High School are currently leading with 1 Gold and 2 Silver while on second equal are Waidina Secondary and Latianara High with 1 Gold and 1 silver each.
