Prime Minister Commodore Voreqe Bainimarama stressed that the government will not be swayed by the local trade unionists trying to target Fiji through the overseas trade unions.

Commodore Bainimarama said he knows that some local unionists are pressuring their overseas counterparts to act.

However the Prime Minister said the government will continue to focus on the sustainability and support of the main industries in Fiji to ensure there is economic progress for everyone in the country.

He said he made this clear to the International Labour Organization officials that they should not just rely on what the unionists are saying to them.
