The government is preparing to hold talks with Officials from the World Bank, who are due to visit Fiji next month, to convince the institute to resume lending to Fiji.

Prime Minister Commodore Voreqe Bainimarama had appointed a team of officials from the Reserve Bank of Fiji (RBF) and the Finance Ministry to head the talks.

He said there are indications that the World Bank is willing to help in funding the land reforms being undertaken by the government.
