The government will soon announce the company that will supply the necessary equipment and conduct electronic voter registration in Fiji from early next year.
Attorney General, Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum said with plans to start the registration process from January 2012, they are now assessing the expressions of interest received.
Sayed-Khaiyum said Fiji's voter population will increase because everyone who turns 18 before the 2014 elections will be eligible to vote.
