Concerns have been raised for many years on the poor road conditions around the towns, cities and mainly in rural areas as the Works Ministry has again promised to maintain all government roads as soon as possible.
Spokesperson Sainiana Waqainabete said with inclusion of eleven new graders in their fleet from last month, PWD is hopeful most roads in the Central/Eastern Division will be maintained by the end of the year.
She added they have requested more money in next year's budget to complete some new roading projects and existing road maintenance.
