Government representatives from 189 countries including Fiji will be participating at the UN Millennium Development Goals Review Summit in New York later this month to talk about their Millennium goals and what progress has been made so far.
UN Millennium Campaign and Advocacy Specialist for the Pacific Agnes Ali said as well as the update on how far Fiji has progressed in the last 10 years, they will also look at what else can be done in terms of poverty reduction.
The theme for this year is "Make a Noise for MDG's" and this will be the first time that Fiji and the South Pacific will participate in the global event where people will make a call to reduce poverty by standing up and being counted.
