Government is now outsourcing all the maintenance works carried out on all the government schools.
Education Minister Filipe Bole said the step was taken to ensure that all the government schools are well maintained and classes are not affected.
According to Bole, the Public Works Department is currently carrying out the maintenance however this will change soon.
He said the PWD has to maintain all the government infrastructure and sometimes this leads to delays.
