A number of officials from the Government Supplies department are under investigation for alleged fraudulent activities.
Public Service Commission Chairman Rishi Ram confirms there are serious allegations leveled against these officials and they are now waiting for investigations to conclude before they are summoned to appear before the Commission.
While Ram said that a large sum of tax dollars is alleged to have been abused at the Government supplies department, details of the offence will not be revealed at this stage.
