With a target of 1 million trees to be planted in the next 365 days, cabinet ministers will take time off from their busy schedule to plant two trees each at various government offices around Suva.
This is part of the Forestry Week launch by President, Ratu Epeli Nailatikau, who said that planting a tree will be the best gift for our future generation for social and economic development.
He warned people to take care of the trees by watering them and to ensure that it reaches to its maturity.
Ratu Epeli planted a Masiratu tree, added to the list of 22 trees planted yesterday with the remaining 999 thousand 978 trees to be planted in one year.
