The Government has given $70,000 to revive the Cocoa Industry in the country after a lapse of more than twenty years.

Tailevu Cocoa Growers Council Spokesperson, Ratu Netava Tagi said growers will be briefed by their Advisor and Chairman of Public Service Commission, Josefa Seruilagilagi on the establishment of the Industry.

Tagi added that the meeting is important for the growers and they have chosen a place at Korovou which will be used as the factory and has already been renovated.

Tagi said they are awaiting officials from New Zealand to install the machine and also to educate the local growers on the use of the machinery.
