The Government expects a full report from the Fiji Volleyball Federation on the inability of the National Men's Volleyball Team to participate in the Oceania Championships in New Caledonia last week.
Government had assisted the team with a $3,000 grant through the Department of Youth and Sports with the understanding that the team would be able to compete in the meet.
The team was disqualified after they failed to arrive in time for the tournament.
Only the women's team took part and beat host New Caledonia to win the gold medal.
Team official, Laisa Vulakoro said it was unfortunate for the men's team not to take part in this tournament after they faced some difficulties in getting their visa before the tournament started.
