The government is expected to rake in a total of two hundred thousand dollars this year from the renting out of twelve Government quarters.
PSC Permanent Secretary, Parmesh Chand said they have decided to utilize the quarters that were being used by civil servants not entitled to accommodation.
He added that as a long term policy they will be looking at freeing up more quarters for commercial rent.
At the moment Suva Christian Community School and one NGO have rented out 3 quarters.
