Diversifying the public sector comes with a lot of risks but the interim government is determined to carry on with public sector reform.
Interim Public Enterprise Minister Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum had revealed that the current running of various state owned entities like the media, postal and even the airport services, are running at a loss, but the need to divest is for the betterment of the Public.
Referring to the opening up of the telecommunication sector last year, Sayed Khaiyum said the following should be carried out for the other state owned entities, as this will see better transparent accounting.
