A government department will move back in to the Methodist Church owned John Hunt Building despite an increase in the rent.
The John Hunt building previously housed the Water Rates and Scholarship Departments and the Methodist Church Assistant Secretary Tevita Nawadra confirmed that they have increased the rent from $15 per square foot to $23 per square foot after a verbal approval from the government.
PSC Chairman Josefa Serulagilagi says they have an agreement with the Churh to rent the building despite the increase in rent.
Nawadra is hopeful the government will keep it side of the bargain.
