Government's plans of providing adequate housing for all Fijians was launched today with the Ground Breaking ceremony of Tacirua East Stage 2 by Prime Minister, Commodore Voreqe Bainimarama.
Commodore Bainimarama said the government aims to improve the housing and living standards of all the citizens of Fiji.
Commodore Bainimarama added that the planned project will see 1,050 single developed housing lots and 900 housing units being built.
The China First Railway Company will carry out the works through a 50 million dollar soft loan from the Chinese Government.
Other similar housing projects include developments in Waila in Nausori, Tavakubu in Lautoka, Matavolivoli and Waqadra in Nadi, Natadola in Nadroga, Koronisalusalu in Tavua and Naqere in Savusavu.
