Every public servant is a voter and to remove political interference is just not realistic.
That is the sentiment of the Fiji Islands Council of Trade Union, General Secretary, Attar Singh who adds that as long as people vote the political voice will be heard.
Singh adds that the recommendation by the National Council for Building a Better Fiji to right size the Public sector is not justified as Government is responsible for providing jobs.
The General Secretary of Fijian Teachers Association, Maika Namudu said there is nothing new in the people's charter about having a just and accountable leadership in the country.
Namudu said these things have always been there and the proposals in the people's charter only looks good on paper but implementing it is another story.
The fourth pillar in the draft of the Peoples Charter recommended the removal of political interference in the public sector.
