Several capital projects in the pipeline for Government House is expected to start soon.
In a statement, the Official Secretary at the Government House Joeli Rokovada said there are plans to upgrade the existing infrastructure and facilities and one of the projects is Government House fencing project and the work is expected to start soon.
The project also includes upgrading of the coronation grounds where state functions are held, structural upgrade of the government house complex, construction of new staff quarters and upgrading of water and sewerage systems.
Meanwhile, the project funded by China which covers government house area and Thurston Garden is expected to start next year and is expected to take four to six months to complete.
