The Fiji Government has secured a new spectrum management software from the International Telecommunications Union to effectively implement the Spectrum Decree.

Attorney General and Minister for Communication Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum said that Fiji is the first in the Pacific to embark on this project in which the software will enable government to effectively implement the decree.

Sayed-Khaiyum revealed that Fiji has been a member of ITU since 1971 however previous governments did not utilize its resources and training services.
