Aaron Powell and Younis Bese will carry the hopes of Gospel High School in next week’s Coca-Cola Games.
Both athletes hail from Lau and they will both feature in the intermediate grade 100 and 200 metres for the boys and girls division.
Powell is the reigning intermediate boys 100 metres Coke Games champion and he looks good to win another gold this year after clocking a manual time of 11.08 seconds in the Suva Zone two meet.
Powell said he is aiming to go one better this year.
Meanwhile, Younis Bese came fourth in the intermediate girls 100 metres final last year and she said she had no chance with Elenoa Sailosi and Sisilia Seavula in her way.
With Seavula and Sailosi running in the senior grade this year, Bese believes the Gospelians might steal the show in the intermediate grade.
Bese clocked a manual time of 12.66 seconds in the zone.
The Coca-Cola Games will be held next Thursday and Friday.
