The Public Service Commission said all government departments had a good turnout of workers while Fiji Islands Council of Trade Unions strike is in its second day today.

It reveals that services were normal everywhere with only a few percent of workers either on strike or taken urgent leave.

Meanwhile, water supply remains normal and there have been no reports of disruption during the strike period.

According to a report by the Water Supply Department, no major problems were experienced since yesterday.

Divisional Engineer Water Central/Eastern, Samuela Tubui said work is normal as many of his staff decided not to go on strike because of their duty to provide essential services to the people.
