The Digicel Barbarians side beat Uprising Beach in their first pool game at the Fiji Bitter Nawaka 7s by 17-12 a few minutes ago.
Fiji’s tries came from Ilai Tinai and Apenisa Dralia.
The Digicel Babas next game is against Sabeto.
Looking at the results from this morning, the Samoa Barbarians were held to a 12-12 draw in their first pool game against Vugayali, a team from Yasawa coached by former 7s rep Taniela Qauqau.
Red Rock thrashed Novotel 14-0 and also beat Natabua in their second game 17-0, Ratu Filise beat Abba Youth 17-7, Hydro defeated Yanuya 12-7, Samurai Barracudas defeated Dratabu 26-5, Wardens 15 Mana 0, Army Red 17 Dratabu 5, Army ATG 28 Malabi Raiders 5 and Warwick 20 Marist 5.
The Fiji Bitter Nawaka 7s continues at Prince Charles Park and the winner walks away $21,000 richer.
