Good news for farmers who are finding difficulties in looking for overseas market access for the produce.

The Australian government through AusAid has funded the Pacific Horticulture and Agricultural Market Access programme known as PHAMA through investment of $29 million.

For the next 3 years the programme will provide practical and targeted assistance to help resolve market access issues in Fiji and other regional countries.

Permanent Secretary for Agriculture Colonel Mason Smith is hopeful market access issues regarding trade with Australia, New Zealand, United States and between Pacific Island countries will be improved.
