Good News for cane farmers facing problems in cane replanting for next season.
The Sugarcane Growers Council has confirmed receiving over $2.7 million from the European Union last Friday.
Council CEO, Jai Gawander said this money was expected to be released this year however due to the events of December 5th the assistance was delayed.
EU officials are expected to comment later today.
