Netball Fiji coach Vilimaina Davu said they have been getting good competition from Australian team's in their build-up to next month's Pacific Games in Samoa.
Speaking from Australia, Davu said most of the players performed really well in their opening match last night and they look good to defend the Gold medal in the netball competition in Apia.
Fiji lost their opening match last night going down to Hunter Jakers from Sydney by 58 goals to 30.
Their next match will be tonight at 6:30pm against Sydney Swifts.
