Good news for those teachers who have been appointed to acting positions from the beginning of the year as they will continue to be paid acting allowances as normal.
Interim Minister for Education Filipe Bole said in a statement that is the only change that has been put in place by the Ministry of Education to abide with the PSC's directives.
However, the minister added that those who need to be put on acting positions in schools or anywhere else within the ministry after 3rd May will need the approval of the PSC.
Meanwhile, the ministry is fully aware of the implications of any change in school postings and Bole stressed that the student's welfare and maintenance of the quality of teaching and learning is not compromised.
