Good news for people leaving in outer Islands as the Fiji Islands Maritime and Safety Authority has issued a certificate of sea worthiness and passenger capacity to the MV Ugavale II.

The Commissioner Northern's Office said the issue of license comes as concerns were raised before Governments trip to Cikobia Island.

The vessel can carry 14 passengers and the Vessel is Governments answer to the Island's plea for a safe and reliable mode of transportation from the Island.

The vessel has been funded by the Chinese Government with a cost of $200,000.
