Vodafone Flying Fijians wing Vereniki Goneva has been ruled out for the match against Italy next month.

Coach John McKee said they have been informed by his club Leicester the Goneva is injured.

Mckee said they will be naming a replacement player today.

Also in doubt is former 7s rep Lepani Botia.

McKee said Botia is also injured and they will be notified by his club.

Some of the players that have arrived in the country are captain Akapusi Qera, Wame Lewaravu, Api Naikatini, Dominiko Waqaniburotu, Metuisela Talebula and Timoci Nagusa.

The Vodafone Flying Fijians will play Italy next Saturday at the ANZ Stadium before playing Tonga at Churchill Park in the Pacific Nations Cup on the 14th. 

They will then take on Samoa at the ANZ Stadium on the 21st before meeting Cook Islands a week later at Churchill Park for the World Cup qualifier.
