Digicel Fiji Sevens coach Iliesa Tanivula will make a decision today after meeting with the national selectors on who will replace Captain Vereniki Goneva for the World Games in Chinese Taipei.

Goneva was named in the 15 member squad to march into camp today at the Pacific Theological College but has made up his mind to concentrate on fifteens rugby after securing a contract in France.

Tanivula said that Goneva has been his tower of strength in the Fiji team after leading the side to win the Hong Kong and Scotland Sevens and also assisting Fiji to finish second in the IRB Sevens Series.

Tanivula added that while his services will be missed, the decision on who will be named to replace him will not be easy, as he will take into account the contribution Goneva brings into the team.

The World Games will kick-off in Chinese Taipei on the 24th of this month with Fiji as defending champions.
