The golf course in the Pacific Games will play a major role in deciding the outcome of the competition.
Fiji Golf team manager Lyndall Fisher said that New Caledonia as host will have an upper hand ,as they train for the Games in this golf course.
Fisher added that her 8 member team have experience from competing in the Samoa Games in 2007 and also in overseas competition but they have to adapt early to the golf turf to do well in Noumea.
The Pacific Games will start in New Caledonia next Saturday.
