Fiji soccer team's first choice goalkeeper Simione Tamanisau's visa has been rejected by the New Zealand Government because his father-in-law is in the Fiji Military Forces.
This means that Tamanisau may not be able to play against the All Whites on Saturday in the Oceania World Cup qualifying rounds while the rest of the players and officials were granted visas.
Fiji FA president Doctor Samsud Dean Sahu Khan said he has written to FIFA and Oceania and is trying his best to get Tamanisau's visa approved.
New Zealand's Foreign Minister, Winston Peters said Simione Tamanisau was clearly covered by their sanctions against the interim regime.
New Zealand has imposed a wide range of sanctions on Fiji, including banning travel to New Zealand for anyone with connections to the military after the Military takeover on 5th December last year.
