FIFA has confirmed that 2010 FIFA World Cup will be the last tournament to be played under the existing refereeing system.

General Secretary Jerome Valcke confirmed Football's governing body has been under pressure to introduce goal line technology after Frank Lampard's disallowed goal against Germany in the quarter finals and a string of other contentious decisions led to calls for change.

After bowing to pressure to talk the issue over again, FIFA has hinted that something will be in place by the time the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil kicks off.

Meanwhile, the final of the 2010 FIFA World cup will be played between the European Champions, Spain and Netherlands on Monday morning at 6.30am.

Uruguay and Germany will battle it out on Sunday morning at 6.30am for the 3rd and 4th position.
