Navua residents are now being asked to move immediately to the 5 evacuation centres set up in the town as the Navua River continues to rise and is expected to burst its banks by midnight tonight.
DISMAC Acting Director Pajiliai Dobui said the 5 centres are LDS church, Vashist Muni Primary, Rampur College, the Serua Provincial Council office as well as Jokhan Primary School and Dobui is calling on people to move now to these evacuation centres.

Parts of Navua town are now flooded and waters continue to rise.
Police spokesperson Atunaisa Sokomuri said several back roads and roads along the Navua river are now flooded.
Several people who live along the Navua river and the smaller streams in the area are moving to the evacuation center at Rampur College.
Deuba resident Matai Akoula said several streams and creeks have also burst their banks.
Meanwhile, due to the power blackout in the capital, the Ready Action Unit has been deployed to ensure people don't try and take advantage of the situation.
A number of corrugated iron and timber homes are being damaged by the strong winds in the Navua area.
Deuba resident Matai Akoula said the flying debris and corrugated iron sheets are posing a lot of danger for residents as the wind continues to change direction.
These are mainly unsecured structures that people have built near their homes.
Navua resident Lavenia Bolabiu said the water level at the Navua River is rapidly rising and the weather condition has worsened.
Even residents in Wainadoi are experiencing flooding and resident Imaam Ali said water has entered close to 20 houses as the Wainadoi River level rises.
