The Global Financial Crisis is taking its toll on our international airline with some flights being downgraded.

Air Pacific Managing Director Chief Executive John Campbell said to avoid wasting production costs they have reduced the capacity they produce by downgrading from some B747 to B767 and B767 to B737 flights.

Campbell said all 81 national pilots they employ are operating reduced international flying hours as a result of the global downturn.

He added visitors arrivals show reductions of 30% versus last year adding they have taken around 12 percent of their seat capacity out of the market.

However, Campbell said they have ensured that customers are not negatively impacted.
