Give opportunities to single mothers and a second chance to ex-prisoners.
This is the sentiments made by Suva City Council Special Administrator Chandu Umaria after employing a single mother and an ex-prisoner to their office.
Umaria said the council and the Ministry of Women and Yellow Ribbon Project have now working together to provide employment for single mothers who need financial assistance to support their families.
Umaria added the unemployed women would be offered jobs in the council according to vacancies.
