This is the advice from the Digicel Fiji Sevens Management to the team ahead of their opening pool game against Georgia tomorrow morning.
While Fiji Rugby Union President Ro Filipe Tuisawau presented the jerseys and told the players that pride does not have any place in the team Manager Alifereti Malo said Coach Iliesa Tanivula had a short message to players.
Malo added they have met the coaches of the other teams who are in Dubai to deny Fiji of its 3rd Melrose Cup title adding this has only strengthened the players to stay focused on the game.
Meanwhile, Tanivula has named a strong starting line-up to take on Georgia in its first World Cup match tomorrow morning.
He has named five players, who played in the 2005 World Cup, to kick off Fiji's defence of the Melrose Cup. The team to take on Georgia: In the forwards, Semisi Naevo, Apolosi Satala and Napolioni Nalaga and in the backs Jone Daunivucu will start at halfback, Vereniki Goneva at playmaker, Vilimoni Delasau at rover while Neumi Nanuku returns on the wing for Fiji. Fiji takes on Georgia at 4:16 tomorrow morning.
